As much as stop motion animation can be enjoyed in both creating and watching, thinking of original screenplay material takes up a lot of time. Time that is needed to operate the laborious task that all of H.O.C aspires to be in sustainable recycling…
And that’s where your creative gears get turning, because it's time to showcase your talent in our Emby Video Suggestion Competition! We're calling on you to submit your imaginative ideas for a captivating stop motion video featuring our beloved mascot, Emby. The pitch can be anything, provided the props can be made entirely by paper mache. Maybe Emby is on a fishing trip, but the boat gets capsized by a tricky wave. Or Emby is floating in space, and finds an alien species of motile flowers.The main aspect is that the story has a moral. You know, Emby gets back on the boat and doesn’t stop trying until the boat is reduced to a plank. Or a message about conservation of the newfound alien species (or plot twist, a subversive message about the effects of colonialism).
It can be funny, it can be sad. It can be both, it could be downright facetious (just preferably, not offensive). The clip suggestion is entirely up to you.
You could use a storyboard, or a script, or a simple email prompt. Part of the fun I hope will be in the ambiguity of translation. Will I be able to interpret your vision? Let’s find out!

● Submission Email Title: Please make sure your email subject reads as follows-
‘2024 Competition: Emby Video Suggestion’
● Stay true to House of Chevy's essence by suggesting a stop motion video that will not need to use CGI or special effects
● No Dialogue: Let the visuals do the talking— the clip must convey its story without any spoken words, and written words will be represented with iconographics where possible
● The clip needs to have a moral

Submission Deadline: All entries must be emailed to contactus@housefchevy.com by 08/08/24. Please note that winners will be credited by name, and you will need to clarify in your email how you wish to be identified (i.e., by your initials, an alias, or “so-and-so” from “such-and-such” [eg. Bob from Kent]).
Pop Culture Scenes or References: While we welcome your creative flair, submissions with pop culture scenes or references won't be eligible for the top prize
option. Please ensure your submission does not infringe on any copyrights.
